Metro Fitness is proud to offer a unique online personal training service which is designed to suit the motivated exerciser who wishes to develop within the training programme. We aim to offer all of the benefits of 1-1 personal training but with a distance support system.
We’re highly skilled fitness professionals with over 20 years experience in exercise programming knowledge, which spans across Exercise Anatomy and Physiology, Fitness Testing, Nutrition and Weight Management, Programme Administration and Motivation.
Each programme designed by us is done using a unique programme card layout which highlights every aspect of a training programme.

Exercise demos:
An important part of our online personal training service is getting the exercises across to the programme user, which is why we use a book titled “strength training anatomy” by human kinetics to show every exercise that goes into one of our training programmes.
The book features:
- Illustrations of each exercise and How To
- Machine setup requirements
- Highlights primary and secondary muscles being worked during a given exercise
- Troubleshooting, tips and ticks
Online assessment:
We start out by assessing your individual fitness level and take the appropriate steps toward your personal fitness goal/s, using proper exercise planning and selection for your fitness level and training history. We look at:
- Goals
- Past or present injuries
- Body type
- Your training Frequency
- Training Environment(s)
- Equipment Available
We may even ask you to complete simple fitness tests which you will be able to do at home, to better gage your fitness level.

As part of our online personal training package we offer you support every step of the way.

*Bespoke training programme: – on completion of an in-depth medical and exercise questionnaire you will receive a weekly training plan which will include resistance, cardiovascular, core and flexibility training designed specifically for your individual needs. All programmes will be accompanied by full instructions with exercises demos and will be designed to take into account your weekly time commitments and the facilities you have available. You will also have email access to your trainer who will be there to support, guide and encourage you as you follow the programmes provided. The programme will be progressive and will be built on week by week to keep you progressing.
